SMOK3SCREEN
Cutting sideways along the blade — a scream that finally punches through the interference and lands as signal.
A word in
edgewise.
There's a version of you that only exists in old notebooks — the one who wrote in the dark because it was the only place that felt honest. SMOK3SCREEN is what happens when that version finally gets a microphone.
SMOK3SCREEN is the debut act from Edgewise Static, an AI-assisted music project that blends post-hardcore's raw physicality, screamo's unfiltered catharsis, and the low-end weight of melodic dubstep. The songs are built out of contradiction: precision and chaos, silence and distortion, the scream and the static in between. The name says it plainly — moving sideways along the blade, cutting through the noise (or the numbness) just to be heard.
The project draws its lyrical backbone from years of unfinished poetry — teenage pages never meant to leave a bedroom, now rebuilt into something loud enough to survive a room full of strangers. It's angst without apology, produced with intent.
SMOK3SCREEN isn't about looking back. It's about finally getting a word in edgewise.
Where the scream
meets the drop.
Somewhere between the melodic weight of Saosin and the wide-open ache of Linkin Park — with the ragged confessional edge of Senses Fail and the sub-bass catharsis of Illenium — SMOK3SCREEN builds tracks that lean into the moment post-hardcore intensity gives way to a drop that actually means something. Not a genre collision. A translation.
